Welcome to Bridge Hall Primary School Blog Site
WOW!
What a fantastic term Autumn 2008 was.
The school shows were wonderful thank you to the cast of Yo Ho Ho and Whoops a Daisy for their superb performances.
Thank you to parents, pupils and staff for their brilliant fundraising. We raised over £100 for Children In Need, £400 from the sponsored football session for sports equipment and over £300 from school performances and the Christmas Disco.
Anti bullying week was a big success and as always the pupils of Bridge Hall Primary School fully embraced the theme and produced thoughtful work which was shared with parents in our Wow! Assembly.
Our School Council enjoyed a visit to Stockport Academy and some of our year 5 pupils took part in a Christmas creative crafts session at the Academy. All pupils involved enjoyed their visit to the Academy, the new building is an amazing learning environment with resources that support learning in all areas. I was particularly impressed with the drama studio and art rooms. Other pupils at Bridge Hall are now eager to visit. More information about Stockport Academy can be found by following this link:

Well done to all the pupils who took part in singing and dancing at The Winter Festival. A celebration of community achievements and a great Christmas market. Thank you to the organisers of the event.
What next for 2009?
Grand opening of our new playground for Red and Rainbow Classes. Work is not quite complete check out Red Class’s Blog on the right to see photos of the development.
New flat roof for the Early Years department - not exciting but necessary!
Continued focus on progress of each and every individual increasing the level of personalised learning and ensuring targets for pupils are challenging yet achievable.
Class trips - watch out for more information from your child’s Classteacher.

Hi, Yellow Class are learning about Ancient Greece and the Olympic Games. They are really enjoying it. Our teacher has brough in some javelins. (Don’t worry, they are not real ones! We are having fun with them and Calib and Nathan can throw them really far. I think they are future Olympic champions! Let’s hope so.
